R for Data Science

The book is accessible for free. This is the second book of the two main books that we will use for the course.
VPN
If you are not on campus, you will need to connect through VPN to access resources that are only accessible on campus.
R and RStudio We will use the R language which is a popular programming language used by statisticians and data scientists.
We will use RStudio interface while using the R language.
GitHub We will use GitHub for version control with git. We will soon learn what version control means.
zoom All the meetings will take place on zoom. You can only attend meetings if you use a UCI registered email. Make sure your zoom account is through UCI.

it is very likely that one of your classmates also has the exact same question.
In order to reduce the number of emails, and to form a learning community,
we will be using Piazza.
If you need to ask anything personal, please email me.
You should not feel shy to make posts but before you start writing your post,
please make sure to search first if the same question has already been posted.
Always follow online communication etiquette when posting on Canvas.
